My name is Connor. I created Mineral because I got tired of late nights scrolling Instagram. I got tired of a guaranteed hit of dopamine every time I open my phone. I got tired of reaching for the device in my pocket without knowing why.
Mineral exists to bring more mindfulness to how we use our phones. It is designed to do one thing: nothing. By keeping an inanimate rock in your pocket, you might find that the urge to scroll decreases. It doesn’t replace all of the excellent screen time management apps that currently exist. My goal is to add one more layer of friction between you and checking your phone for no good reason. Life is too short for that!
